What types of wood fences do you have?
American Fence, Inc. manufactures most of the wood products it sells. American Fence, Inc. offers: solid board, privacy, spaced picket, shadowbox, colonial square picket, split rail, post and rail, and tongue and groove privacy fences. We can also make custom wood fences, depending upon your needs.

What heights of wooden fences are available?
Since we manufacture most of these fences right here, there is great flexibility in height and sizes. Standard heights for wooden fences are 3', 4', 5', and 6'. Depending upon local zoning rules, 7' and 8' heights are also available.

What type of wood do you use?
For strength, durability and longevity, American Fence, Inc. makes their wood fences primarily out of western red cedar. Properly maintained, a western red cedar fence will give you many, many years of beauty and service.

What lengths of fences are available?
We make most wooden fences on the premises, this affords us the flexibility to make our fence sections to meet your needs. The standard length of fence sections is 8'; depending upon your needs, fences can be manufactured in shorter lengths or longer lengths up to 12'.

Can I just buy the fence and install it myself?
American Fence, Inc. also sells materials for the do-it-yourselfer.

What is the difference between split rail and post and rail fences?
Both fences offer a more rustic look to your property. Post and rail is a white cedar product. Both the posts and rails are round, the rails being 10' long. Split rail fence consists of a locust post and an 11' long hardwood rail. The posts and rails are rough cut and squarish in shape. |
